December 25th
Every year the kids ask, "Do we have to wait for you to get up to open our presents?" As if they have to wait for us to get up. We remind them every year that we are always awake before they are just waiting for them to stir. Did Santa come?

We started a new tradition that my brother has done for years. It is the German tradition of hiding a pickle. The first one to find the pickle gets to open the first present that year. I found a cute, animated pickle ornament at Hallmark that giggles and gives "hints" when the button is pushed. Kenz found the pickle and then the unwrapping began.

Yeah! A piggy pillow pet with her name embroidered on it. Santa knew that Brooke would LOVE anything "piggy". 
Oh boy, my very own laptop! Thanks Santa!!!
Having asked for the same thing, Blake quickly scanned his pile for a similar shaped box.
And what do you know? Another lap top.
Seth, caught on quickly and found a box that weighed about the same as Blake's and Kenzie's, since he too asked for a lap top.
Love it! He was so happy that Santa delivered that he gave his laptop a big o' hug....
... and then a kiss!

Seth showing all of his stuffed animal dinos with there stuffed cave/carrying case. Santa knew this would provide hours of fun, creative play. Pup LOVES playing with dinos and stuffed animals.....who knew you could get a set that combined both passions?

Crazy!!! Santa had all the computers ready to go. So when they opened them on Christmas morning all they had to do was log on. The boys each got a very cool car shaped mouse. All three kids have a set up ear phones so mom and dad don't go crazy.
Karissa got up after all the presents were open, except hers of course. She OBVIOUSLY doesn't know what Christmas is since she wanted to sit and drink her entire morning bottle before she even looked at the gifts.
The waiting just about drove Brooke wild. She wanted to know if she could help Karissa open her presents.
When the bottle was gone Karissa finally got around to opening her presents...with Brooke's help of course.
They were cute together. They would open a present and play with it before opening another (this drove the older kids crazy). 
Ahhh, kisses. Karissa LOVES babies. She opened this baby and quickly showered her with affection.
Seth decided to join in with the open and play routine. Soft foam building blocks were a huge hit (especially with mom...no one gets hurt and there is no noise when building or crashing!).
The laptops finally got from the floor to their new desks. Guess who is Tech Support???
Nice! It looks like we have a call center in our living room. As long as they are OFF of my computer, I am happy as can be and so are they. We all had a fun, memory-filled Christmas Season!!!

A call center?! I never thought about it that way. Too funny :) Oh my...I noticed the pickle ornament on your countertop one day and was going to ask you about it. It seemed a little strange and unusual. Love your new tradition!
Looks like Santa really hit the mark! What's the number to your call center? I have some questions. What a fun Christmas!
Hey, I did not realize your blog was updated until just today- crazy! Very cute pictures of all the family (Brooklet is too cute!) Laptops for all- Sounds like a very good Christmas indeed!!! =) And the pickle thing is a great tradition, although we did have to tell Brenner to leave it for Cayden this year as he is no longer a true believer!
