#11....In PrOgResS

Bucket List #11 states: "Train the pigeons to go farther and farther". Blake is our designated bird catcher. He is great at boxing them up and getting them ready for their adventures. Seth is his trusty assistant. Together they get all 9 pigeons loaded into the back of our car and keep their hands on them while we drive a few miles further and further each time. Everyone is well trained on what to do if the bird boys accidentally let the pigeons out of the boxes while in route (no screaming and freakin' out, simply roll down your window and let them free!)
Once we arrive at our predetermined mileage, we pull over, get the bird boxes out, all passengers get out to watch them circle overhead before flying home, and finally the boys let 'em loose. So far we have all enjoyed numerous releases. We have even had friends and family caravan behind to watch the training sessions. It is the cheapest thrill and quickest way to bring a smile to your face....old and young alike!
Since the bird boys have gone back to school, it is now necessary for Brooke to step up and take her place in the training routine. Before the boys leave for school, they catch the birds and secure them in the back of the car before leaving for school. On our way home from dropping the kids off at school, Brooke, Karissa, and I take the birdies for an adventure. The farthest they've been so far is Brigham City. Happy to report all 9 made it home before we did. Let's hear it for Zoro, Bruiser, Flake, Direita, D.D., Snowball, Hershey, Bernice, and Crystal. Hip, hip, hooray!

Hey, you're going the wrong direction! When are you coming to Bountiful?

That is so cool! We'll have to watch for flying pigeons over there.
