Independence Day

After a yummy BBQ we all headed out to Grams and Pa's cul-de-sac for the firework display. While waiting for it to get dark, Karissa and Zach were more than willing to help Great Grandpa Mackay clean off the ice-cream dash (which has always been and will forever be his).
All the cousins eating ice-cream and waiting for the fireworks.
Happy Cinco de Mayo! Uncle D trying to cover the blasted street light that ruins our firework show year after year. This year he had enough of it and did his best to help out. It worked great....much safer than me trying to shoot it out with my BB Gun.
Ohhhhh.....
.......Ahhhh! This year Utah legalize "up in the air" fireworks. So the skies were quite bright this year, not just on the 4th, but all month long. They were fun to watch but amazing how fast you can blow threw $100's of dollars.
Blake trying to write his name with a sparkler.
Seth staying steady
The backseat crowd getting in on the fun!
Karissa exploring a sparkler for the first time all by herself.
Brooke walking around bare foot on the 4th of July!!!!! WHY???Our night quickly ended when Brooke stepped on a red, hot sparkler. OUCH! John quickly stuck her foot in the nearby bucket of ice-water left from the homemade ice-cream.
