Pigeon Loft in Progress

The kids all had a fun time helping Pa each time he came over to build the loft.

They would often ask, "Is Pa coming over today?" Since the kids are in year round school, I let each of the boys take one day off when I knew Pa would be there on his day off spending the entire day sawing, nailing, and putting up walls.
Blake's teacher asked him where he was when he came back the next day. He of course told her the straight up truth...."I stayed home building our bird house with my grandpa". Funny. At the time they were doing a unit on measurements and she said, "Oh good, were you able to do a lot of measuring and adding two measurements together?"
