Duck Park

Feeding bread to the ducks is always a fun day. However, there never seems to be enough bread, right? So, before going to duck park, we stopped by the grocery store for 4 loaves of bread so each kid would have their own and know exactly when theirs is gone. Karissa opted to eat her piece of bread. Why waste a perfectly fresh piece of bread on a duck???
At this age, Brooke is feeding most of her bread to the ducks...but still sneaks a taste now and then.
The older kids don't want to waste their bread by eating it. No-sirree! They want to feed the ducks all they can.
After the kids and ducks ate all four loaves, we stopped by the park to play. One of the great things about year round school is you get breaks throughout the school year that no one else gets. What does this mean you ask? It means no crowds at the movie theaters, empty playlands at the fast-food establishment of your choice, and best of all....nobody at the park but you!!! You can swing all you want without having to wait in line or feel like you must get off to let someone else have a turn. At first Karissa had a scared look on her face, but as she learned she wasn't going to fall, she began to love it. So let the years of "Can you swing me mom?" begin. Swing your little heart out Karissa.
Round and round and round....
(this is the last one of these playground toys that I know of)
Seth looks a bit dizzy...he couldn't even find me to say cheese.
Stop right there....
Perfect!
Live doesn't get any better than just "hangin" out with my kids.
