Cake, Presents, and Family

Karissa's birthday party was a layed-back event. We were hoping to have her party outside, but due to wind and chilly temps, the cousins played a quick balloon game and we all came back inside for presents, cake, and homemade ice-cream (Vanilla or Nutella). Inside all those presents were lots and lots of clothes.
Her birthday cake

Fondant doesn't lend itself to being destroyed or smashed by a baby. When trying to touch her cake all she got was some of the yellow butter-cream icing. Yumm-o!
Now a piece of the cake on a plate, that was a different story!
Karissa's favorite part of her birthday was by far the homemade vanilla ice-cream drizzled with carmel that Pa let her drink from off his plate. Do you think this might be a problem with a baby who just started drinking milk a few days ago? Dairy overload = Belly ache!

Again, another fabulous cake! How do you find the time? Looks like a fun celebration of Karissa's big day!
