Just call me Cupid...

What do you do with a Christmas tree you just aren't ready to part with yet?
Start by taking down all the icicles, snowmen, snowballs, and ornaments. Put away the snowy tree skirt, igloo, and white seal pups that so playfully lived underneath the tree. Then remove the star.
Quickly vacuum up any needles that have fallen over the last 30 days. If there are more needles on the tree than you just vacuumed off the floor, then proceed to redecorate the tree for the next holiday.
Add a red sash, tie some pink bows, hang some sparkly red sequin hearts and some silver pewter hearts with different quotes about love inscribed on them. Next, nestle in some wooden words reading LOVE, HUGS & KISSES, and BE MINE. Find an overstuffed Valentine dog with a big red heart for a nose and place him under your newly decorated tree with some smaller hearts placed randomly about (hopefully Karissa doesn't learn to crawl in the next 5 weeks as they are the perfect size to be a choking hazard). Lastly, place a large heart at the very tippy top.
Then stand back and look at the oddity that was your Christmas tree. Enjoy! Brooke asked me if Santa is coming again. The answer to that very logical question is, "Nope, but watch out for Cupid and his flying arrows!"
Warning: A tree that quit drinking water weeks ago is very dry. Please do no walk too close to, run too fast past, drop things down on, breathe near, or touch this Valentine...the needles are very easily dislodged. You've all seen what dry pine needles do in a bonfire....so should flame break out when lit, call 9-1-1.
