As we sang Christmas song after Christmas song, Santa made his traditional appearance. Much to our amazement, as soon as he entered the front door, Brooke jumped of my lap and ran full speed to greet him with her wish list. What almost 3 year old likes Santa up close and personal?!?!? Well I'll tell you what kind, the kind who knows how she's behaved the past several months and is very worried about which list she is on for this year. Hopefully Santa has a few "Girlies" for her in that big, brown bag of his.
Did we mention Brooke's behavior lately? Ya, well a big shout out for Brooke once again messing with our camera and turning it to 1.2 mega pixels. Every photo of Christmas Eve is in beautiful quality (especially since the lighting in my mom's living room isn't that bright). Sorry Karissa, the only pictures of you with Santa on your first Christmas are what they are....not so good.
Christmas is deep in traditions. Hands down one of the best is the homemade pajamas that Grandma Mackay made for us every year and now makes for our kids (all 20+ of her great-grandkids). Each pair is measured and made with so much TLC that it is simply unmatched. If a child is into pirates that year...she finds a pirate print, if it is dogs the child likes...than dogs it is on their PJ's. Thanks so much for your love and sharing your talent with all of us.
This year Seth chose chocolate/vanilla swirl marshmallows for our traditional Christmas Eve s'mores. Brooke still just likes to eat hers raw rather than wait for it to get warm and toasty.

What fun Christmas traditions! I think we need to put forth a little more effort to create some of our own.
