Our trip began with an infamous red-eye flight. It left us a little dizzy and tired, but was worth it....right Kristin? :)
One of my favorite parts of a Carnival Cruise has got to be the cute little towel animal on your bed each night.....LOVE THEM!Our first stop was Key West, Florida. Super fun day which included para sailing and jet skiing in the ocean around the entire island of Key West. Soooooo fun! We also spent some time walking around the town in search for the perfect piece of Key Lime Pie.
After asking the locals where we would find it, John wasted NO time in eating his slice of heaven. I couldn't even get the camera out quick enough. Ha!
Our vacation would have been a huge success if all we found was diet coke and sun. We all enjoyed our days at sea.
Days at sea allowed for lots of eating and numerous inside jokes. DO NOT believe everything they tell you during the evening shows!!!
We were even able to create the perfect sun-tanning straw. You wouldn't even have to pick up your Diet Coke or bend over.
We brought our own snorkel gear so in Grand Cayman we just asked for the best reef around and hopped on a bus.
The sea life was amazing. They guys spent much of the time exploring the ocean. The sea creatures were WAY to close for me. So I quickly headed back to shore to enjoy some more sun. After a lot of sun, we headed back to the boat for lunch and a nice nap.
John and our little towel friend
Several mornings I got up for a quick run before the sun came up. What an awesome view....poor John will NEVER see or experience this (getting up early is not his idea of vacation) so I took a picture for him.
Before leaving for our excursions, we had time for a yummy breakfast. John liked to try some of everything at most meals, even though Tanner was the clear winner of the "Didja" menu.
In Jamaica we climbed Dunn's River and had fun listening to our tour guide talk and sing. After climbing the waterfall, we rode through the jungle on a sky ride to experience bobsledding through the dense jungle. Super fun! This was also a favorite souvenir spot. ;)
Kiss, Kiss
Eating breakfast before enjoying a fun day at sea.
"Hey, where's my extendo straw?" This day provided for some superb people watching. Photo shoot anyone?
Have I mentioned my love for towel animals???
Time passed way too fast. Thanks Cornells for a super fun vacation. Can't wait til next time!!!
